• Valley Quail Osoyoos, B.C. May 21 - 25, 1941. Extremely abundant along the washes. Have seen no sign of chicks yet, nor have I heard the cocks giving their nest-watching call. Penticton, B.C. May 31, 1941. Quail have been numerous all the way up the valley. Nesting now in most places but have seen no chicks.
