Sept [September] 28/42 [1942] Shotholt of Exhibition Dept. [Department]
tells me that many robins were
"killed by smoke" + were seen
floating on surface of Sproat
Lake last week. Fourteen were
seen in on [one] spot; others in other
parts of the lake. Some were
picked up + identified as robins.
No other species were seen.
Smoke very thick due to fires in
the vicinity plus some fog.
