- July 10/65 [1965] Safety Cove, Calvert Island, B.C.
Day dawned foggy but by 10:00 it lifted + we left
Kent Island for Smith Sound intending to visit the
Indian Village (supposedly deserted) at Takoosh. Sun
came out en route, light N.W. [northwest] wind, good crossing
2 occupied, very smart houses at Takoosh so left for
Calvert where arrived at 19,00 hrs. [hours] + anchored for the
night.

Rhinoceros auklet (Many)
Marbled murrelet (several)
Short-billed gull 2
Bonaparte " [gull] 1
Glaucous-w. [winged] gulls many on
2 small islets entrance to Smith Snd [Sound].
At Safety Cove:-
