  • 1 Report on duck nests found by R. [Roger Yorke] Edwards + A. [Allan Cecil] Brooks in Anahim Lake region during May, June, + July 1948. During the first part of June 1948 a search for duck nests was made. Islands were visited + sedge zones about small sloughs were searched. An area, which we refer to as the Alkali Flats, + 4 small islands two in Anahim Lake + two in Abuntlet Lake (4 miles north of Anahim) proved good nesting grounds.. A total of [illegible number crossed out] 87 duck nests were found. This total consisted of 9 [number crossed out] 10 predated nest - Crow [word crossed out] when found. 9 predated by crow 1 unknown see R.Y.E [Roger Yorke Edwards] report. see. Pintail.
