- 8 Victoria, BC [British Columbia] Oct. [October] 5, 1935. 1 Great northern Diver 8 Herring Gull. In a burnt area near Sooke were large numbers - 100+ - Robins, and 1 sparrowhawk. The robins were very wild, calling continually, + flying from tree to to tree top. Evidently in migratory excitement 2. Harris woodpeckers were working in this burn, confining their activities to the dead trees. The burn was about 1 year old.
