different fauna, but I did not get them until
the tide has been rising an hour or more.
Chitons abundant (the large species
one specimen of white lined chiton
taken, Behind the main rock faces are an
abundance of pinkish colored Aemaeds [?], I
think nomapelta [?], shells very fragile + bodies
strongly greenish. Others, on the exposed faces
had bodies white + shells thick. On 3
of the chitons were single specimens of
a peculiar small gastropod with apex
of shell missing. They looked like parasites
but did not appear to have any suctorial
feeding apparatus penetrating between the
valves. Two were collected also 2 [illegible word]
