Diseases Autopsied + photographed dead
doe at Maple bay.
Deer extremely emaciated,
evident signs of long continued
dysentery in badly soiled backs
+ tail, colon full of liquid
feces.
Right lung at tip showed
evidence of previous tubercular
condition + had an adhesion to
the chest wall.
Setaria abundant, 4 tapeworm
cysts, heavy Cephenomyia [Cephenemyia] infestation.
Intestines not inflamed, stomach
contained about a quart of herbage.
This is the fourth similar case known
here, one recovered when fed a high
vitamin diet including boliver oil
Food. Stomach largely False box
with some Arctostaphylos media. [underlined]
