Parked car s [south] of bridge on quad. [quadrat]
81 went east through 82, through
75, 67, 59, 52, 53 + back through
60, 59, 58, 66, 74, 82 + 81.
Saw at 9 AM 3 deer together on
seconds growth fir ridge on 82.
200 yards away I put up 4 more
on 82, + on the SE [southeast] corner of 74
a doe + yearling. Saw no other
deer until returning through
same general region when
at 1:45 jumped 6 deer on S [south]
end of 66, and one more on
hillside on 74.
Deer were feeding until 9:30.
Those put up after 1:PM were
all bedded in clumps of small
fir on the open hillsides.
First group of 3 ran off
together as did second group
of 4 + last [word crossed out] doe + fawn
(yearling) later.
When deer were jumped
at 1:30 one doe ran off by
her self N. [north], + others went went
off SE [southeast], following each other
in single file. 45 seconds
after they left another deer
appeared from the gully they
had been in, + with
