Measurements. 53", 5", 16, 26, 6 1/4 ear.
Food. 50% Salal berries
20% Bracken
20% Willow
10% grass + other hebaceous growth.
Parasites etc [etcetera]:-
Mallophaga - mod [moderate] - about 2 per
sq [square] inch.
Lipoptena [underlined] - present in hundreds,
see specimens for data on
various ages. I think there are
still a very few old [female symbol]'s of last
years crop. In the hot sun
while the deer was still alive
these insects were scurrying
all over the place. They
were particularly noticeable
on the face, around eyes +
muzzle + also on lower legs.
However elsewhere on the
body they were abundant +
running on the surface.
Several clasping pairs were
found all deep in the hair on
throat + brisket. All of the
