Moult:- Both bucks are in good
shape + have shed most
of their winter coat, the does
are not so far along with
the moult but are showing
much summer coat.
The doe that was sick
during the winter + the yearlings
that have been sick show
no signs of moult yet.
Breeding. Maggie gave birth to
twins on May 27 at about
noon or shortly after.
She was found licking them
clean at 2 P.M. Both fawns
lay together in a depression
alongside a log. So far
one of the fawns once followed
her down to the feed rocks
but she immediately led it
back into the woods + cached
it.
