Marshy area
Water parsley [underlined] dominant + heavily
browsed. It can grow immersed or
on merely moist soil.
Carex sitchensis [underlined], dominant on
the less moist areas - not
utilized
Veronica [underlined] - abundant on the
deeper water side of Carex - slightly
eaten now - more extensively earlier
Ranunculus reptans [underlined] abundant
in areas now dry but flooded
in the spring. Not eaten now.
Epilobium adenocaulon [underlined]. is mostly
over now but is abundant
+ large in this type of habitat
+ is moderately to heavily browsed.
E. [Epilobium] angustifolium [underlined] grows sparingly
on the stumps above water
+ is moderately browsed.
Glyceria striata [underlined] moderately abundant
+ slightly browsed.
Carex interior + brunnescens [underlined] common
around margins + not browsed
just now.
Carduus edulis [underlined]. casual - browsed
only in very early spring.
Lactuca [underlined] - casual on margins - heavily
browsed.
