Diseases
Old doe has recovered from
intestinal disorder since she
was turned loose. However
one yearling died a month ago
one today + the other is
sick.
Symptoms are diarrhea,
gradual emaciation + finally
death.
By necropsy found the
following symptoms.
Lungs with small lobes
showing scattered collapsed
areas, total of these would
not involve more than 1/10
of volume of lung.
No inflamatory [inflammatory] or ulcerated
areas of the intestine or other
organs. Liver about 1/2 normal
size, hard + darker than
normal. tissues anemic.
Veins of digestive tract congested
+ lymph nodes enlarged +
dark purple.
No pneumonic areas in lung.
Parasites:- The interesting thing
here is that this deer was
born + kept in the paddock
+ was of parents that had
