Couldn’t finish my scrawl yesterday. Too many interruptions Fimmy left this afternoon to take up his R.A.F, work. Word has just come in officially that Germany ha,? agreed to accent Wilson’s points. Sincerely trust that it is true, for it practically means unconditional surrender, lord, won't it be great if hostilities cease before winter sets in.
Had a letter from Lundy a few weeks ago, giving me news shout quite a few of the old hoys. Christie has gone hack to Canada, Upton, Ole Math e son, Warner, Weir, Houghton and Ilott are at the Depot, KcLuhan,, Foulder, linkee and. Jewell are taking a P. T. course, Jock Levey is on a hospital ship running to Canada, lamhurd is hooked for home- eyes.
Was railroaded into Finn’s old joh a while hack- canteen committee representative for A section. Lid my best to saddle it onto Bill Maguire hut fate decreed otherwise.
Another Canadian mail in today, hut no B.C. mail, last letter I've had from any of you folks was dated Aug. 27th. What’s the matter, - postal clerks on strike again?

Lear Mother and Lad,-
Well, here I am hack on the j oh again. Hardly seems that a week has elapsed since I last wrote you hut it's a, fact, /m mighty pleased to tell you that two of your letters came along several days ago. While I knew that everything was O.K, over there, still I was anxious to hear from you.
Just paused a moment to listen to the rain pattering down on the roof of our corrugated iron dug out. Hot unexpected for it has
been rather dull and close all day. Fine and warm in here though, so warm in fact that I think I’ll have to shed one of my sweaters. Boiled my only shirt this afternoon in an attempt to put a hunch of "seem squirrels" out of action and it hasn't dried yet-- hence the extra sweater. Have an idea that the sweater could stand a search too, hut will let it ride for the present.
