None of the adult birds taken had food
in the crops though several were
seen with food in their beaks.
All the young taken at night had the
crops distended with food, the young
dug up by day were empty.

Many birds carrying feed seen in
early evening between Cumshewa
head + Sandspit. There is a colony
somewhere in this area. Cumshewa
Island might bear examination.

Saw a young bird just S [south] of Klemtu
+ inside Swindle Island, another near
Bella Bella.
