Saw 3 moose - a bull and
2 cows by the roadside between
mile 16 + mile 10 on the East
highway. The only other moose seen
this year was a cow on this
end of Buffalo Prairie.

4 bull moose between mile 42
+ 68.

Found remains of 2 dead cow
moose. One 2 or 3 years dead,
the other very recently dead + very
stinking. The latter was an
old animal but not senile.
Killed in the lake.

Up Miette River saw 2 cows + 2
ad [adult] bulls. All were in the
river bottom feeding on sedges
+ willows.

Today saw a cow moose with twin
newborn calves - on an island between
Pocahontas + Miette - First calf this year
was at Talbot Lake on May 25
