Alternative Title:Missal (Feast of Corpus Christi)Subject:Catholic Church, Manuscripts, Latin (Medieval and modern), Manuscripts, Latin, and LiturgicsContributor:Location:Language:latDate Created:1351 to 1400?Rights Statement:Resource Type:TextIdentifier:Call Number: BX1750 B4 1628, Spine liningExtent:4 fragments ; 105 x 30 mmGeographic Coverage:Northern ItalyCoordinates:45.20543, 8.96233Additional Physical Characteristics:Gothic Script (generic)Physical Repository:University of Victoria (B.C.). LibraryCollection:Medieval and Early Modern Manuscripts CollectionProvenance:Description by Madyson Huck in Adrienne Williams Boyarin's manuscript studies course (University of Victoria, Summer 2022): Manuscript material (mostly in Latin) removed from the Seghers Book Collection. Host volume was likely acquired by Charles John Seghers (1839–1886) from an unknown source. Seghers was a missionary in British Columbia, but collected books from across Europe. His collection was housed at St Andrew's Cathedral in Victoria, B.C. until 1976, when it was permanently loaned to University of Victoria's Special Collections and University Archives. It is worth noting that some items from the Seghers Collection were donated by other priests and parishioners after Seghers' death (Cazes 8). In addition to the above marks of provenance evident in the book, there are names from previous owners in the front matter which could be useful for future researchers.BibliographyProvider:University of Victoria (B.C.).
