Here Larry [Harry Meredith?] + Wally [Wallace McCutcheon] + I had lunch + watched
the birds coming to water.
In order of abundance ground doves,
orioles, white-tipped doves, goldfinches.
Many of all these. In addition saw +
took 2 [male symbol] tanagers, 1 vireo, 1 trogon, 1
[female symbol] cardinal (2 [male symbol]'s seen).
Later in the day I went up the
main arroyo to where I had shot
the deer yesterday. There were 2 Caracara
+ 7-8 turkey vultures feeding on
the remains 25 vultures overhead.
Today saw the first red-tail
I have seen but could not get a
shot.
On the beach was a flock of
8 sandpipers + 6 plover, specimens
of each were taken. Also on
the beach were 2 [female symbol] Audubon
warblers, two curlew + 1 blue heron.
