  • Goldstream Lakes. Oct [October] 31/39 [1939]. Parasites + disease. Young buck:- 13 Setaria 2 Cysticercus tenuicollis, small cysts 8 + 12 mm [millimetres] in diam. [diameter] a few Mallophaga Lipoptena moderate infestation about 20 out of every 100 individuals are winged or have recently shed their wings. Only two gravid [female symbol]'s seen, + these were not nearly ripe. One pair seen copulating. 1 oesophagostomum in caecum. No leg worm, lungworm or internal tapeworm. No nose fly. 10 adult D. [Dermacetor] albipictus [underlined] not engorged + 3 partially engorged, engorged nymph. No larvae. Black flies troublesome. Older Buck. 1 Setaria, 2 Cysticercus on omentum 2 to 6 Onchocerca in each leg. No nosefly. 1 Small tapeworm Moniezia sp. [species] [underlined] in small intestine. No mature proglottids. Heavy infestation of Mallophaga 10 to 30 per sq. [square] inch on sides and back. All stages from eggs to adults present. Lipoptena moderate some winged. One D [Dermacentor] albipictus. nymph engorged. (over)
