- Glaucous winged Gull.
Ballingall Islet. Aug [August] 17, 1939.
Still a few fledglings left
on the islands, others swam
off as we approached.
Victoria, B.C. [British Columbia] Feb. [February] 18/40 [1940].
Noticed for the first time
this year that these gulls were
soaring + circling, calling
vigorously. Only adult birds
took part.
Indian River Nov. [November] 5-7/42 [1942].
Thousands of Gulls on the river
feeding on the dead + dying salmon.
They started pulling out to sea at
4:30 - cloudless day, - and the vanguard
returned at about 8 AM.
