- Of these a lot of the Goldeneye +
the coots could fly. We were
shy one boat + had trouble
driving.
Several Holboell Grebes still
feeding young + some Horned grebes.
Went into Kamloops for the
evening + on the way back up the
road saw 6 Poorwills + 2 nighthawks.

Tried another drive on the lake
yesterday but the Scaups all began
to dive + we caught nothing.
Most frustrating. I came to the
conclusion that the trap should
have been facing west instead of
east, extended right to the
bottom + driven with 3 boats.
We would then probably have
taken 120 birds at least.
Broods:-
Scaup + 5; 7, 11, 11, 10, 15, 8.
Goldeneye + 7 + others not determinable
On Round Lake saw many
pond ducks + a few bufflehead +
Goldeneye
1 Brood 7 Bluewing teal class 2
1 Brood 5 mallard class 3
15 Shovellor, 20 teal blue + greenwing
