July 9/36. [1936] Vanderhoof.
Enroute Quesnel - Vanderhoof.
Country very uninteresting, miles
of Jack pine or Aspen.
Aspens badly denuded by a
brown moth. Have seen Hermit
Thrushes eating it but no other
birds.

Enroute Vanderhoof - Ootsa Lake.
Near Fort Fraser saw several
Nuchal Sapsuckers + white-crowned

only Red breasted Sapsuckers.
Between Francois + Ootsa is
Grassy Plains - a most interesting
stretch of country; rolling uplands
with clumps of aspen in gullies.
July 11/36. [1936] Ootsa Lake.
This morning saw Mt [Mountain] Bluebird,
a [male symbol] Audubon Warbler, Gambels +
Savannah Sparrows, Cliff, barn +
