- marsh and Tim [Miles Timothy Myres] banded 4 tree swallows
and a brood of mountain bluebirds,
and checked his recorders.
Westwick Lake Thursday, June 16
Weather: cloudy and windy.
Nancy [Mahoney] and Tim [Miles Timothy Myres] painted Mrs.
Sunday red while I mended
the boots - again.
In the afternoon Nancy [Mahoney] and
Tim [Miles Timothy Myres] worked on banding and
cliff swallows. They found a
colony of 11 at Round Lake.
I found a pintail (see June 18) sitting on
10 eggs.
Our new neighbors arrived
with two cars and two trucks
and another load to come.
They have five horses, which
are now in our pasture, and
a dog - Heintz 57 varieties. There
will be 13 of them, three of
whom are leaving in a week or
so. So far we have met
Mary Larson, who is leaving; and
John and one of the men, who
are staying.
