a. Deer seen per hunter per hour
during forenoon.
b. Strip count
Two observers walking 50 to 100
yards apart or together depending
on range of visibility, so as
to cover a strip 100 yards
wide. All deer actually seen are
tallied, as well as those jumped
+ known to have passed out of
strip. Not those not heard or
seen.
At very low concentrations most census
methods break down.
