2 Fox sparrows
10 Golden crowned Kinglets
6 winter wrens
4 nuthatches
4 chickadees
1 Stellers Jay.
Birds scarce as usual in
this type of habitat
11 AM to 1 PM
Tall alder growth - 40-50 ft [feet],
along railroad right of way at
foot of steep hill. Hill covered
with Douglas fir forest of
the open type - large trees,
some down timber, some
Hemlock - many rock outcroppings
undergrowth mostly salal - 2-3
ft [feet] high - some young
hemlock.
In the conifers - 2 pigmy [pygmy]
owls.

10 squirrels
In the deciduous trees
1 Hairy woodpecker
