dull today. Spent the morning
writing letters + reading. The
afternoon at meetings of the
vice president of the Union.
Peter Scott, K. Curry-Lindahl,
E B Worthington, C Vander
Elst + one or two others
are now here.
May 15. [1962] Morges
Spent from 8:30 AM until 7
PM at meetings. Mostly with
regard to wildlife problems in
Africa + various administration
matters.
Had a brief but interesting
discussion with Francois Bourhis
who thinks he can get me at
least the plates of "Animaux
de Chass Afrique". He mentions
some excellent books on
monkey + ape behaviour
currently in press. Also
mentions that they have
clines in chromosome numbers
in gerbils, with the terminal
