Heavy rain during night + morning
Went out after lunch afoot +
covered 2 hills west of the
house examining moose browse.
All the upland willow is heavily
browsed + some aspen on the
hill tops but not in the lower
areas. The entire region is
in the Douglas fir zone with
jack pine in some areas +
spruce along the moist bottoms
alder in the draws + aspen
parkland characteristic. Shepherdia
abundant in the undergrowth
+ the dominant shrub.
