- On May 25th, 1900 Ma Lian, who worked as a chef in a restaurant in Rossland, was shot dead without reason by a westerner. For this case the Association sent Mr. Chen Dong Ru as an envoy, who replied that this case can not be brought to an end due to lack of witness. The Association decides that we provide for information that would bring the killer for justice a reward of $250, in which $150 is provided by the Ma family, the remaining $100 by the Association. This reward is to be paid after the killer is identified and convicted guilty.
