First [female symbol] [female symbol] showed on W. [west] side of
Sorenson Lake this A.M. [morning] (2)
May 9, 1955
Only redwings were seen in
the Carex-Typha lake edge at
Culpit [?] Lake.
May 12, 1955
Found a nest, probably belonging
to this group in the marsh at
the south end of Westwick.
May 16, 1955
Saw a [male symbol] chasing 4 [female symbol] and 2 [male symbol]
yellowheads while the [female symbol] redwing
looked on.
July 28, 1955
The blackbirds seem to have gone
from the marsh. It seems very
quiet with only the ducks,
coots and wrens.
August 6, 1955
Flock of 30, both [male symbol] and [female symbol],
at Westwick Lake.
August 10, 1955
Saw a flock of a dozen at
Cummings Lake.
Onward Ranch August 24, 1955
Mixed flock of Redwing, yellowhead
and Brewers - about 350
