Iona Island, Fraser River B.C. [British Columbia]
Nov. [November] 11, 1935.
Island is about 2 miles long
by 1/2 mile wide at its widest point.
From the west end of this extends
a long sand spit and breakwater.
The Eastern part of the island

areas of bare sand + gravel.
The bulrush area is broken
into 3 by 2 lines of wild

of snowberry's + briars. Westward
towards the breakwater the country
becomes more open - sand dunes
covered with rye grass.
On the north + south is the Fraser

fairly abrupt + the south gently
shelving mudflats, with covering
of some sort of salt grass.
