Saw one bird in the fore-shore
salmonberry groves. Missed it.
Rose Harbour. Aug [August] 17/46 [1946].
The pileolated warbler has been the
commonest warbler seen here.
At least one bird seen every day
without special hunt for them.
Strictly confined to the chapparal [chaparral]
along the forest edge bordering the
clearing.
