- Translated transcription: From the deep forests of seaweed, where the rare seahorse grazes, the mermaid’s children have brought the animal along to their playground close to the shore. Now they want Vébjörg to take a tour.
The animal’s round fish eyes stare timidly; it snorts and rears, its powerful movements churning the waves to froth. With her small, steady hands Vébjörg braids reins of strong seaweed and tries to steer the horse, while Haraldur and the mermaids cheer her on.
Frightened, everything that lives in the green waves, fish and shellfish alike, has to flee; they know the snorting monster and the children’s wild games.
