but not thriving. Cottongrass, tall thin leaved
cranberry + Rubus still present. Some Pinguicula
some grass. Sphagnum tussock now
up to 2 ft [feet] high. Broad leaved cranberry
appears.
Aspect 6. Pinus - Thuja assoc. [association] Pines
close to thickets. Ledum some Empetrum tall + poor [inserted above] + broad l. [leaved] cranb. [cranberry]
carex - Feathery moss appears. flat
lichen on decaying pine. Salal appears
as small plants.
Aspect 7. Pinus-Tsuga-Thuja assoc. [association] in
dense stands. Salal dom. [dominant] Ledum
crowding out Menziesia + some Vaccinium
parvifolium appear.
