- 15 Bowl d: 20 cm, Kangxi (1662-1722)
The interior medallion of this blue and white bowl has crested waves within a double circle. The upper rim, which is scalloped, has a diapered band. The exterior is decorated with six horses, with books on their backs, galloping over crested waves, alternating with six dragon heads protruding above waves with seven pointed ruyi lappets above their heads. The lower portion has moulded lotus petal shapes in relief and each petal is decorated with auspicious symbols. There is a palm leaf mark in a double circle on the base.
14 Large Bowl d: 41.8 cm, Kangxi (1662-1722)
This large blue and white bowl, with steeply rounded sides, is decorated on the exterior with a continuous band of Indian lotus scrolls above a border of overlapping petals. This decoration is repeated on the central medallion inside. On the base is a six-character mark of Kangxi in a double circle.
