Browsing Studies:-
In several instances where
cedars had been very closely
cropped they were producing
sharp juniper-like needles.
In no instance did I see any
sign of browsing buds or branch
tips of alder - possibly if such
does take place it would indicate
overstocking.
In pond + stream areas 2 miles
south a water parsnip
several grasses + sedges and a
water cress [underline] Mimulus moschatus.
were being heavily utilized.
Juncus effusus [underline]. had been
slightly browsed.
Bracken, hellebore + a
small composite sprouting but
not yet browsed.
Coral fungus
Green mushroom
Brown mushroom
none of them being eaten.
