Aug [August] 22 [1929] Rayleigh, B.C. [British Columbia] Cool
Took 1 chipmunk (176) that is
unmistakeably E.a. [Eutamias amoenus] lutieventris
It was in a large cottonwood
on the E. [east] Bank of the N. [north] Thompson
Took 4 groundhogs. Five of
these animals lived in a
built up rock embankment
supporting the road. They
were all young animals +
were very fat.
No ticks on any of these
animals
Aug [August] 23. [1929] Rayleight, wet.
Took a pair of chipmunks (177)
(E.a. [Eutamias amoenus] lutieventris) They were eating
choke cherries that the birds
were knocking off the trees.
The eat only the pulp + leave
the stone.
