- xxix Bowl d: 15 cm, Qianlong (1736-1795)
The exterior of this so-called medallion bowl is decorated with a pale blue ground, delicately incised with overall scroll patterns and enamelled with colourful floral sprays. This ground is interrupted by four circular medallions displaying painted flowers on a white ground. The interior, decorated in underglaze blue, has a central floral medallion surrounded by four floral sprays on the cavetto. There is a six-character underglaze blue seal script mark of Qianlong on the base.
