Alta Lake, B.C. [British Columbia]
Dec. [December] 30, 1935
Trap line contained 3 dusky
shrews + 1 cinereus shrew.
Several of the other traps had
been disturbed.
Bill Bailiff reports that in 1916
or thereabouts he caught several
lynx here. The only recent
capture was one taken by
Billy Marsh in 1930-31 on
Wedge Creek.
Dec [December] 31, 1935.
After running trap line in
morning + setting out some
more traps returned to camp
+ made up the catch.
In PM [afternoon] - clear day, went
round lake on the way
jumping 3 willow grouse
one of which Mr [Kenneth] Racey bagged.
Examined large rock slide
behind Clark's house finding
2 cony nests + one pack
rat nest, All showing
signs of activity
Bill Bailiff brought in a
large [female symbol] Bobcat + a [male symbol] weasel
caught on Sproat [Mountain]. Mr [Kenneth] Racey
bought the cat, I the weasel.
