- Ambystoma (macrodactylum Lac du Bois area
June 9 [1941] Collected Ambystoma [underlined] larvae in
pond just West of Alkali Lake, where lone
phyllopod was taken. Probably A. [Ambystoma] macro-
dactylum [underlined], since they resembled closely
those collected in other parts of the Okan-
agan valley.
Larvae were also taken in Bachelor's
swamp between McQueen + Pass Lake.
Vernon area
June 4th [1941] Larvae were collected in a pond on the
"commons" behind OK. [Okanagan] Landing + S. [south] of Vernon.
Aug [August] 6? One larva began to show signs of
transformation.
[August] 11 Metamorphosis complete, salamander
out of water, but colour pattern not yet
distinguishable
[August] 15th Yellowish spots appearing on back + first
suggestion of dorsal strip of A. [Ambystoma] macrodactylum.
