Very little fresh sign but
took one [female symbol] ad [adult] nursing. Saw
two others feeding in meadow.
June 26. Shot an ad [adult] male with
a flashlight as it fed in the
meadow at 9:30 P.M.
Texas creek. Nov. [November] 7/1937
Took a goshawk eating a rabbit.
Rabbits abundant + changing
to white pelage. The inner
side of the pelt showed molt
areas.
At 8000' rabbits were white
at 7000' some almost white -
some patchy, below that
increasingly brown.
