This morning there were 3 nanny's [nannies]
+ a yearling, 1 lone billy + two goats,
apparently billy's [billies] on the slopes of
Cone Mt. [mountain] near camp. None + no
recent sign on the Mt. [mountain] N [north] of [illegible word]
Lake in spite of fair slides.
Exam [examination] [underlined]:- Shot a [female symbol] of med. [medium] age. It
had a yearling with it + the
young one stayed around until I
was very close. Not pregnant.
Measurements: 1440, 140, 300, 95 (notch)
Moulting badly, noted calloused
patches on knees + heels. Fore
toes have very slack interungual
ligament permitting toes to spread
apart to 4" [inches] at the tip. No interdactylar
glands fore or aft. Glands behind
horns smell "goaty" + contain a
quantity of dark, brownish black
waxy material. Pad of heavy
hair with subcutaneous pool of
fat + conn. [connective] tissue on mid ventral
line of chest.
Parasites etc.
4 soft ticks deep in left ear
6. Wood ticks wandering free in fur
small number of mallophaga
3. Cysticercus tenuicollis + [illegible word] lig. [ligament?] on omentum
3 or 4 Thysanosoma. One in 4th stomach
others in small intestine
