On Feb.11th last year, An Xing Store paid $99.25 tax for Hua Chang Store, who has not paid back this amount to An Xing Store. Since Chen Yi Jie, the Manager of Hua Chang Store, said he is not sure of it, it is necessary to have arbitration by the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association in Victoria. It is decided that Chen Yi Jie should give $100 as cash pledge to the Association, and a three-month period is set for the time limit to wait for reply from Chen Yu whether the money is to be paid. During this period if there is no reply, or the reply is not to pay, this $100 shall go to An Xing. And after this period An Xing would bring a lawsuit against Hua Chang. If An Xing wins, all the expenses, including fee for courts in both British Columbia and the United States, fee of lawyers, and interests of the $99.25, should be borne by Hua Chang. If Hua Chang wins, all the expenses, including fee for courts in both British Columbia and the United States, fee of lawyers, and interests of the $99.25, should be borne by An Xing.
This agreement is made between An Xing Store and Hua Chang Store, and submitted to the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association in Victoria for record.
