Today when working west to
Hillsdale we saw 7 moose
2 [male symbol], 4 [female symbol] 1 calf.
Color:- 1 [male symbol] was a pepper + salt albino.
All seemed in fair shape.
June 10/44. [1944] Bow Lake.
Saw 4 moose en route from
Banff on areas where none
had been seen previously.
June 11/44 [1944] Jasper.
Kills:- Found remains of an adult
animal along the Sunwapta. Only
the hind leg was found + it was
not badly chewed up.
Census:- Saw 2 cows,- one dry - at the
graveyards.

Counted 4 bulls near Talbot Lake,
Speed. [underlined] Chased one in front of car for 1/4 mile -
best speed about 19 miles per hour

Saw two ad. [adult] bulls near the ice
field.

At 17 mile was a yearling cow
moose not previously tallied.
