- and checked nests until the crows appeared. Westwick Lake Sunday, July 10 Weather: fine In the morning Nancy [Mahoney] and I brought back the trap, poles, and nets from Sorenson, and hung the nets over a pole in Tucker's chicken house. In the afternoon I walked down to Westwick marsh and checked grebe nests. I tagged 22 more nests, and there are still a few more to be done. Nancy went through the marsh half way up Sorenson, and then rode Pickles down and met me and Tim [Miles Timothy Myres] at Betty's [Cox]. Tim [Miles Timothy Myres] spent most of the day working on the enclosure. In the evening all of us but Tim [Miles Timothy Myres] went riding. We had dinner at Betty [Cox]'s. Westwick Lake Monday, July 11 Weather: fine. A thunder storm blew up from the west, but passed across to the north.
