  • 38 Vase h: 12.7 cm, early 18th century The mirror-black glaze on this meiping vase extends to the lip and base, and displays the slight blue tinge which was characteristic of early Qing mirror-black wares. K 37 Seal Paste Box d: 7.5 cm, Kangxi (1662-1722) This box of compressed globular form is covered with a glossy opaque mirror-black glaze. The interior, base and edges are left white. There are traces of former gilding.
