Parasites (contd [continued])
Setaria cervi [underlined]:- about 55 individuals,
the heaviest infestation I have
encountered to date. Both large
+ small indiv. [individuals] present, also some
dead + disintegrating.
*34 Nematodirus [underlined]:- Numerous in
upper part of small intestine. The
part of the intestine infected with
these + the next species was inflamed,
+ showed many small hemorrhagic
areas.
#33. Nematodirella
Numerous in upper part of small
intestine
This deer showed general malnutrition,
hair rough + poor, no fat anywhere
on body or in mesenteries. Pre scapular
+ pre femoral lymph nodes slightly
enlarged, lymph nodes of digestive tract
enlarged + engorged with blood. Small intestine
inflamed, blood vessels congested + local
haemorrhagic [hemorrhagic] spots.
Diarrhea present - hind parts
soiled.
No gross lesions in any organs.
