D. Farula brought in a [female symbol] containing eggs.
I took 2 a small one + a large
one. Large one shed tail which turned
ventral side up + writhed actively for
at least 25 minutes. These were all under
down timber in moist spots.

Mar [March] 5/41 [1941]. Wellington brought in
a small specimen 31 mm [millimetres] taken
in a rotten log [word crossed out] stump 4 ft [feet] above ground.
Color, body dark brown with parallel blue
gray stripes covering each temporal area +
uniting over eyes and on mid line of nose
extending back on both sides of the mid-
line dorsally to root of tail. Tail reddish
brown above. Lower limbs gray brown,
bases of limbs above orange + very
noticeable, underparts grayish white throughout
May 29/42 [1942] Cultus Lake.
Three found on lake shore near
hatchery beneath loose boards.
