The report from the other two was that
the spring exists + is a focal point for
birds.
Deer shot old [male symbol]
L. [Length] 58", ht [height] at shoulder 27" tail 8 1/4"
ear 6 1/4". Pelage, gray, winter coat.
Weight 75" +/- Wt [Weight] of dressed haunch.
Examined stomach contents of 2 marlin +
a sail fish. Nothing in the marlin though
the larger one had a tumor [tumour] like mass
15" long + 5 " wide, somewhat triangular in
shape, where the stomach should have been,
It was noted that the stomach protruded
through the mouth when boated.
Sail fish contained 6 small fishes +
2 small squid.
Great shoal of wahoo seen yesterday,
swimming lazily in a N.E. [northeast] direction,
fins showing. Magnificent 3-4' fish

Landed at the usual place + walked
about a mile westward passed one
small aroyo [arroyo] + then came to another
with a fair delta + a sand channel
arched with trees. Up here 40 minutes
easy walk is a good spring
