Climbed Green Mountain + noted much
heavy use of willow + birch, some use
of aspen by moose. Deer sign + moose
sign all over the place. No use of alder
or Shepherdia.

Climbed Pyramid, The south face
is extremely arid, a lava cone covered on
the south with an open growth of Ceanothus
velutinus + sanguineus. Acer glabra +
Shepherdia. Lots of fresh deer tracks, tracks
of 2 wolves + one bear, (grizzly) along
the 3 miles of trail to the pyramid.
The N. [north] face of the lot is dense Jack
pine with deeps now patches lying.
