on various sedges + grasses.
I saw no sign of any feeding
or wading in the swamps
yet. Skunk cabbage + cat-
tail not being eaten.
Poque - eaten partially on
2 occassions [occasions].
Dogwood not being browsed
at the moment, nor apparently
the willow, but both show
signs of heavy browsing
probably last summer.
A very little feeding
on new alder leaves,
particularly on young trees.
Purple violet, pea vine,
stick weed, dandelion, thistles
R. [Ribes] Lobbii, mustard, Mimulus
Langsdorfii etc [etcetera] not being
touched.
Deer began bedding at
9 o'clock + most of them
were down by 10. However
at noon a drenching rain
began + in the next hour
all deer seen were on
the move + feeding.
In the brush grown areas
browsing was much less intense
