ment 7 miles +/- to Head Lake marshes
A heavy muskrat producing area
Waterfowl were abundant in
the broad shallow lakes.
Some of the lakes had large
Scirpus stands, others mainly
sedges
Waterfowl seen:-
50 not identified but mostly mallard.

+1; +11; +8; +3; +3; + 3 ad [adult] [female symbol] alone
= 12 broods of 65 young + 15 ads [adults]
Barrows Goldeneye [underline]:- broods with [female symbol]'s of :-
6; 3; 5; 4 + 5 [female symbols]'s alone =
18 young in 4 broods + 9 ads [adults]
Canvasback [underline]:- broods with [female symbol]'s of
6; 5, 8, 9, 2, 7 =
6 broods of 38 + 6 yng [word crossed out] ads [adults].
Redhead [underline] - 2 [female symbol]'s each with 6 = 12 yng [young]
Scaup. [underline] 13 ad [adult] [male symbol], 15 other ads [adults] paired
Mallard [underline]:- [female symbol]'s with broods of 6; 7;
10; 6 + 33 ads [adults]:- 4 broods of 29 + 37 ads. [adults]
Bluewing teal [underline]:- [female symbol]'s + 1, +2, + 12.
= 3 broods of 15 yng. [young] + 3 ads. [adults].
